Even though I was uber cranky this morning, when the bus came Nick told the driver he would be right back and he ran back to the door and asked me if he could have a kiss and a hug. He’s my reminder that even though I’ve gone through a lot of pain and heartache with his father, it‘s HELLA worth it just to have that beautiful, forgiving, thoughtful boy. I realize I need to remember these moments because the day will soon come when he won’t kiss or hug me in front of just one of his friends, much less a whole bus load of kids. I hear ya Goddess, this is how you remind me.
